My second visit to The Paris Inn and hopefully more to come as I am 73 years young. My reasons are easy excellent stay ,good rooms and facilities. All staff friendly smiling and always willing to assist ,you might need directions, helpor just a chat .Food is top knot and hot .Views of the ocean and Coverack .My stay was relaxing ,in a safe environment which is important at my age, a definite must stay place .Looking forward to my next stay and your bar refurb .Thank you .

The Staff at the Paris Hotel are very friendly and welcoming, Our room was clean and comfortableWe both had a full breakfast which was excellent and an added bonus was that we watch the seals in the sea while we ate. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we will definitely return.

Three nights away here for a break. Lovely room, clean and comfortable. Ate in each evening. Food was excellent, lots of variety and beautiful fish. The people are a delight, everyone friendly and so welcoming. Finished third in the pub quiz one evening! The hotel is amazingly situated. Trey it, you won’t be disappointed!

Whilst some of the pub furnishings need a bit of updating the hospitality is exceptional. Bar staff friendly & welcoming. The bed & breakfast element was fine - clean & comfortable - & the menue for lunch & evenings more than adequate. The views from the pub & its garden area are amazing.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Paris hotel with perfect weather. It is situated adjacent to the harbour. The room was comfortable and clean. There were lovely views of the sea out of our window. We had a problem with the blind, which was fixed immediately I reported the fault. The dining room similarly had sea views. We both felt that the breakfast could have been improved with more choice of cereal, juice and toast.

We had a lovely stay in August, the room has the most spectacular view of the sea and the restaurant is also surrounded by sea. Great choice of dinner treats. And the village of Coverack has a large beach (when tide out), clear water and Roskillys ice cream! Also pretty thatched cottages.Definitely worth a stay.

We have been to the Paris Hotel many times for a meal and drinks in the past... has also been really good and glad to say it still remains so. The staff are really nice and friendly. We decided to stay over for one night... when we booked we requested a quiet room. The room we had was lovely couldn’t fault it.. clean and tidy. However it was located over the kitchen with an extractor fan outside the window, which when in use was noisy even if the window was closed. Also a lot of kitchen noise could be heard in the room .. so wasn’t great. The fan was turned off at 9pm and once the staff in the kitchen had finally finished then it was really quite. All being said would stay again but in a different room.

Great location by the harbour and on the Coast Path - perfect for walkers. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable room, but could have been cleaner.Food was pretty good - the restaurant was packed because it was a hot, sunny evening and the nearby fish and chip shop was closed due to gas issues. We waited a long time for our food but were warned of this when we ordered, so that's fair enough. Enjoyable pub quiz.

Great accommodation in a small, beautiful village right by the sea. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms have everything you need. We had a beautiful view of the sea. The food in the restaurant and the breakfast were excellent. The beer was tasty too, of course ;) the bar is classic and familiar. We can recommend the accommodation and will be happy to come back.

We spent two nights B/B at the Paris. The friendly staff could not have been more helpful, even supplying a surprise cake when they discovered it was our anniversary. The location was very quiet and the room was small but comfortable with a modern en-suite. Our dog was made welcome. The choice of evening meals was perfectly adequate without being extensive and the quality was excellent. We enjoyed the experience and would recommend The Paris wholeheartedly.

The rooms are small but clean and nicely decorated, all of those we had have a view to the sea. We could see the moon and the sun rising from our room and the restaurant, which has windows nearly all around. The kitchen is good, all dishes were delicious, the service is very friendly and helpful. Our room was a really good size with a comfortable bed and a spectacular view of the sea just metres away. Best of all we had a sofa - a joy for tired legs! My friend and I stayed at the Paris Hotel for one night whilst walking the SWCP. We occupied two double rooms on a sole occupancy basis. We were welcomed by a warm and professional young lady who was dealing calmly with a very busy workload. The bedrooms and shower rooms were very clean and had lovely showers, hot and powerful.Just what we needed. We had booked dinner in advance. Unfortunately the menu was very limited so we chose fish & chips. The batter and the chips needed several minutes longer in the fryer. The fish was cooked so we ate what was in front of us without complaining. We hoped for better at breakfast but we were disappointed again. Even the coffee was awful. It obviously came from a machine where you select ‘coffee with milk’ or ‘black coffee’. We made up for that later by stopping at an excellent beach side cafe at Porthoustock. Highly recommended!

Between Falmouth and the Lizard Point you must have seen the cosy Coverack with its nice beech and the steepest streets we have ever seen in England. You can use the Costal Pathway and hike to the North or to the South to have stunning views on the sea. And in the middle of the way, directly on the coast, you will find Paris Hotel with its ever playing darts experts, the tasty meals and its contorted corridors. The room was the first on our tour, where we could open the case. So we had fun and come back another time.

Tony: Extraordinary views of the sea and harbour. Any closer and we'd have been swimming. Lovely compact room with an excellent, efficient shower. Hotel staff very friendly and chatty. Popped down to the pub to hang out, chat to Ian (his last days as owner after 14 years), get the local vibe. Vegetarian breakfast. The heating could be erratic but this was always addressed when we asked. Fantastic for local walks along coastal path. Saw the lights going up. Had a great time!Kim: From the moment I saw the house perched on the sea edge, I knew I'd be happy here at the Paris Hotel. You walk out of the door onto the coast path.Everyone was very relaxed and welcoming. The room was perfect; very bright and perfectly clean. It had a comfortable bed and a perfect shower. The place very quickly felt like home.Ian, the owner, got me a vegan meal, and I was able to keep a carton of soya milk in the kitchen fridge. We went in and out through the back door and straight on to the lovely harbour and beach. Now we've left, it already feels like a magical time. Can't wait to come backxxxxPlease note the email address above is wrong. I tried to correct it but not possible.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Paris hotel. The views of the sea from our room were wonderful Very friendly staff run the Paris Hotel and pub. The breakfast each morning was delicious as was the evening food in the restaurant. Coverack is such a lovely fishing village with very friendly locals who support and help make the Paris hotel to be such a great happy place to visit and support. The bedrooms are in need of some updating but the locality and views still make it a great place to stay.

Reasonably priced accommodation in an excellent location. Whilst the parking was a little tricky at the pub I did find it too much of a problem as there was plenty of free availability at the other end of the village. Staff were friendly and the breakfasts were fine, well cooked. The room was good with great views. Coverack has a very friendly village community.

We have just returned from 4 fabulous nights at The Paris in beautiful Coverack. The hotel is perfectly placed right beside the sea in the heart of Coverack. It is warm and welcoming and you feel completely at home. All of the staff, including the breakfast staff, cleaning staff, bar staff are all really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We enjoyed a few laughs in the morning with William who served our breakfast. The rooms are all basic and probably could do with a little upgrade, but it really didn’t matter because everything else was fabulous. We had everything we needed.I am now planning my next visit!!

I spent only one night at the Paris Hotel with my husband and my 9 months old puppy and I have to say I loved every second of it, even if, because of the Covid restrictions we could only eat outdoor and it was cold and pouring rain.Staff was absolutely lovely and helpful, food was amazing and we had the room with the ocean view and we loved falling asleep looking at the lights and with the sound of the waves crashing on the cliffs.

We traveled (safely and within guidelines!) to the Paris for a night away. We used to visit the village and the pub many years ago and have fond memories of the warm welcome. We weren't disappointed. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the views great (from the double aspect windows of our room - Manacles, named after the infamous rocks in the bay). Breakfast was superb. Free range eggs worth a particular mention! Our very best wishes go to everyone at The Paris who made us feel so welcome in these challenging times for the hospitality industry.

This is a pub with few refurbished rooms upstairs. Nice & clean sea view rooms. Free parking next to the sea and hotel. Nice pub staff which also the one showing you the rooms. They were very busy when we arrived hence took them about half an hour before showing us to our room which I can't blame them, very busy pub on Friday. The basin had very low pressure of warm water but the shower was fine. It was quite noisy during the night, guess it was noise of old buidling. A nice & cosy feel to the room overall. Breakfast was very nice, all hand-made, not frozen ready made stuff. Nice coffee. Very friendly staff.

Also stayed for breakfast, which is included in the price and a damn good deal by the way, was good portion, ordered the night before, nice coffee offered and then laid out was yoghurt, juice and cereals. All round just a very welcoming stay, not a bad word to say and we will be over again and also recommend to our friends. Thank you

Stayed in the twin room and enjoyed my night here. The Paris Hotel has a busy restaurant and pub with spectacular sea views on three sides, so not having a table booked Ian made sure we were fed and watered... Once food service finishes the bar and restaurant quietened down and we enjoyed the rest of the evening hosted by Maisey.I read a few reviews that gave mixed opinions of the staff, all I can say is I had a great night along with my daughter. Due to social distancing like any busy bar, you will get 'prompt' service from the limited staff that are allowed to work safely behind the bar when busy minimising queues .Regarding Covid restrictions as residents we had a temperature check recorded on arrival and there were plenty of hand sanitiser points throughout the premises. There is also a one way system in place, so we felt safe throughout.I will definitely stay here again when back in the area and the opertunity arises.

Forty years ago we honeymooned in a little B&B overlooking the sea in Coverack.Sadly, it is now a residence. However, the Paris Hotel came up trumps! We were able to drive to the end of the harbour, park our car safely in their car park and relive our memories; one of which was a view out to sea from our room and hearing the sea lapping onto the shore as we lay in bed.Our evening meals were beautifully cooked and very tasty and staff were all friendly. For my husband, an extra was that there was Proper Job on tap.....what more could we want!

I have known the Paris since the 1960s. Always loved its unique position and longed for its improvement from a very low starting point. Pleased to say the improvement continues. Our room was pleasant (could have been cleaner) and the food was vey good. Maintenance must be a nightmare but the next stage must be new windows and the bar furniture is very tired. Keep up the good work and we will look forward to more visits. It must bring more customers to this unique hotel eventually.

We received a warm welcome and had a lovely meal and enjoyed the Wednesday Quiz Night which was a bonus. The only thing that we were a little disappointed about was the lack of milk for breakfast cereals.A good stopover on the coast path.

Lovely location and good value. Could do with have the bedroom doors adjusted as they all slam shut making it noisy in the morning or evening. (Guests not being more considerate closing the doors doesn’t help)

I booked this hotel/pub a few weeks in advance which was easy to do so paying 50% deposit. On arrival checking in was quick and efficient and the staff even allowed me to put my bicycle in one of their outside barns for safe keeping. The room was simple but very clean and tidy with lovely views out to sea. Beers and wines were good as was the food though it took a while for the food to be served. 35 min wait for starter and then another 35 min wait for the main but nice once it arrived. After a good nights sleep I was down for breakfast at 8am. Cereals etc buffet followed by my cooked breakfast ( you order what you want the night before ) all which was very good. Checking out was quick and easy. Overall very good pub accommodation and worth the price .£65 one night b&b for one person.

We liked the bedroom, with modern en-suite and sea view. The breakfast, served in the large, airy dining room was good, with a choice of cereal, yogurts and cooked items. Very friendly helpful waitress. Only slightly negative comment is that the bedroom had cobwebs on ceiling, spillages on front of dressing table and shelves in bathroom were a bit dusty. Suggest a more detailed clean. The access to the bedroom through the back exit from the car park is very un-appealing and needs a good weeding and tidy up. Fussy details but just affects the overall first impressions. Very familiar with the superb setting of the Paris hotel from childhood holidays in Coverack. Would return for another stay.

I have stayed at the Paris on several occasions whilst my apartment in Coverack is being renovated - and will continue to do so in the coming months until the work is complete. ((September 2017 - April 2018).The accommodation is clean and comfortable. The food is very good - above average in both choice and quality for pubs. The staff are welcoming and friendly. It's location - immediately on the coast and a few metres from the harbour, is superb with stunning views of Coverack Bay.I can thoroughly recommend it - you will not be disappointed.

We had a fabulous stay at this traditional Cornish Hotel. It's position, at the tip of Coverack Village, means there are magnificient views from every aspect. It's spacious dinning area, is decorated in cool & fresh sea shades, which combine with the view over the Harbour and out to sea, making it a romantic room to hold a wedding. My husband enjoyed a full English breakfast every day of our stay, whilst I opted from day two, scrambled eggs and the next morning poached eggs with sausages & toast. All I can say is The breakfasts are outstanding, beautifully cooked and well presented, using local produce -delicious! The hotel Staff were attentive and accommodating and bent over backwards to ensure we were happy and to meet our needs. The hotel bar stocks a variety of Cornish gins, so we just had to give them a try and we did with a variety of tonics! During our stay, we witnessed a lone Dolphin riding the bow wave of a local fishing boat; we saw two fishermen save a young seagull out at sea and watched it as it soared away; we photographed the early morning sun and marveled as it's winter light shone across the bay; We explored the Lizzard Peninsula, eating Cornish Pasties & Roskilly's Farm Ice cream Milk shakes along the way. The Paris Hotel is the most delightful and relaxing place to stay and we look forward to revisiting it again as soon as we have an opportunity.

Bright, clean rooms, spotlessly clean, modern en-suite, superb breakfast and an ideal location. What more can one ask? A major step up from the usual motel clones and a property full of character. Shame I didn't sample the evening fayre. The menu looked varied and interesting.

We stayed for one night in The Paris recently and had the most wonderful time. The room was clean and bright and the facilities were great! It was wonderful to watch both the moon and sun rise over the sea from our bedroom window. Breakfast was fab and there was a good selection from which to choose. This is actually the third time we have stayed at The Paris (2nd time this year) and I can see us visiting again very soon!

My wife and thoroughly enjoyed our five days' stay at the Paris Hotel. The Hotel is in a brilliant location, the dining room having sea views on three sides and also from our bedroom window. Our room was very comfortable and whilst not over-spacious was fine with plenty of storage space. Ian, the Manager, and all his staff were delightful - friendly and obliging without being intrusive. Nothing was too much for them and even at busy times they remained pleasant and unflustered. The food was excellent. Every one of our evening meals was of the same high standard, beautifully cooked, well-presented and with great choice. Highly recommended if you want a super spot, great food, friendly folk and an unpretentious settting.

Bedroom and ensuite had been recently updated and decorated and were comfortable. A handle on the inside of the door or a more gentle fire closure would have been good. There was a varied evening menu and the food was good quality and delicious. All of the staff that we met were excellent. As we were walking the SW path the location was excellent, although somewhere to dry out boots and damp clothes would have made the stay near perfect.

Really enjoyed my stay here. I had the family room which was newly refurbished and was very nice - had a view to die for and friendly staff. Didn't have dinner, but breakfast poached eggs a bit more like fried - not sure what happened there - although served with a smile.A note to the brewery - an outside seating area with amazing sea views could be decked or slate paved and would be nicer to eat or sit on and improve the dining room view. St Austell brewery info as the landlord could not have been more helpful and they should fund this if he agrees. Overall a great stay. A 'proper' pub with locals and holidaymakers all having a good night. Will be back.

The view from our room was stunning! The hotel has a lovely position at the very end of the road and Coverack is what a Cornish fishing port should be like: a small harbour, few lovely cottages, peace, seagulls, the ocean breeze.I really enjoyed this place and the Paris Hotel greatly made my stay really pleasant. The staff was friendly and welcoming, our room (Manacles) was not very large but it was clean and had a fresh “look†with two great views over the harbour and the ocean. There is a free parking place on site.We had dinner in the restaurant. Coverack..... A gem of a seaside village. The Paris Hotel...... A gem of a hotel. My friend and I only stayed one night following a double booking on the 9th May at the cottage we were staying at in Gweek. Our one day in Coverack turned out to a bonus and only enhanced our week in South Cornwall. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and very good value and the dinner we had was excellent, made even more pleasant by the waiter who was working that evening.Highly Recommended.

We celebrated my husbands 50th birthday in The Paris Hotel, what a fantastic place. The rooms are spotless and modern, the bar is just how it should be in a Cornish village. Quiet in the day and packed with friendly locals of an evening. What an atmosphere.....The food was great, all the staff so helpful, village perfect, all in all it made my husbands birthday. Thank you guys, we will return.

We stayed last night for a friends 50th birthday and had a lovely time. The hotel is situated in a quaint fishing village. The people was extremely friendly, as were the locals, and couldn't do enough for you. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and had a stunning view of the sea. The food was very good and would highly recommend staying here.

The Paris Hotel in Coverack,Cornwall,is located right at the end of Dolar Point. We stayed there around 15 years ago and frankly, then, it wasn't very good. However, it's now under new ownership and management, and has been completely transformed. The rooms (there are about five of them) have had a complete makeover and are very well furnished. Our room had a comfortable double bed, a good sized wardrobe, three door desk, three-door bedside table and small round table, carrying the electric kettle, drinks etc., which included an ample supply of UHT (not the usual 4 tiny cartons). The en suite bathroom was also good and contained a huge shower. The bar is well stocked (it is also the only "pub" in Coverack) and the food in the restaurant is good (don't miss the massive Pavlova!)The staff are really good and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible.Special mention must go to Bill, the breakfast waiter and bedroom "maid", who was great fun and extremely helpful. We will definitely return very soon.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely small,Cornish hotel/pub with fabulous views from all rooms. The hotel is right at the end of Coverack, surrounded on three sides by the sea and harbour. The staff were friendly, the room small but very clean and offered good quality pub food.Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a convenient location to explore Cornwall.

Having previously stayed at The Paris a couple of years ago it was a very pleasant surprise to see the investment made in the bedrooms - the boutique style works really well, which along with the sea views makes the rooms a joy.If you want breakfast with a view go to The Paris! Breakfast itself is very good with plenty of tea and toast, made with good bread. I'm told the breakfast/dining room is the next 'refesh' project, which can only further improve the hotel's ambience.Excellent value for money and we will return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at 'The Paris Hotel'.The recently refurbished room was excellent - tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The hotel's location is perfect - right next to the harbour and sea.All the staff were friendly and helpful. It is great that it has retained a friendly Cornish village inn atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. The food was very good. The breakfast was cooked to order and the menu in the restaurant offered plentyof choice. We ate there several times and found the food to be well-cooked, nicely presented and reasonably priced.

We stayed 2 nights at The Paris Hotel beginning of September 2013. The Location is absolutely great. Directly at the sea at the end of the road and right at the coastpath. The house looks so nice. Friendly staff. The room was nice and clean with new bathrooms. Great seview. The only not so good Thing about our room was that the cooker Hood from the restaurantkitchen was outside our window making noise from 7.30 til 10.30. But we managed to live with that. The Food in the Restaurant we can only recommend. All in all we are very happy that we stayed at the Paris Hotel and would do it again.

We had walked from the Lizard. Warm welcome and lovely position. Room a bit tight for three. Fantastic view. Dinner good but could be finessed. Breakfast all one could ask for. Very helpful staff - allowed to leave luggage to pick up next day.Definitely recommend!

We were working in the area and came upon The Paris and what a find. Catered for all we needed, good food, drink, clean bed.
Reviewer: Mr. M | Mon 17th Sep 2012 | 12 years ago
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was extremely basic with an airbed and foldaway bed squeezed into a double room so no space for four. Food is tasty and reasonable as you will see from the busy restaurant with lots of locals attending this establishment. Better suited for couples or singles due to lack of space in the room

My wife and I made a return visit after so enjoying our first visit in April 2011. It did not disappoint! Ian, James and their team are so welcoming and friendly, providing excellent food and drink in a warm convivial atmosphere, where there is always a "buzz" in the bar with many local characters present as regulars, which is nice to see. We'll be back again!
